PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
- Removes dissolved oxygen and non-condensable gases from boiler feedwater using direct steam contact.
- Removes dissolved oxygen to as low as 0.005 cc/liter (≈7 ppb) per ABMA testing procedures.
- Spray valves break incoming water into fine droplets for rapid heating.
- Water heats to near saturation temperature, releasing dissolved gases.
- Released gases are vented from the system.
- High-velocity steam scrubs the water to remove remaining oxygen and CO₂.
- Deaerated water collects in the storage section for boiler use.
- Continuous steam blanket maintains performance under changing loads.
