PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION

  • Removes dissolved oxygen and non-condensable gases from boiler feedwater using direct steam contact.
  • Removes dissolved oxygen to as low as 0.005 cc/liter (≈7 ppb) per ABMA testing procedures.
  • Spray valves break incoming water into fine droplets for rapid heating.
  • Water heats to near saturation temperature, releasing dissolved gases.
  • Released gases are vented from the system.
  • High-velocity steam scrubs the water to remove remaining oxygen and CO₂.
  • Deaerated water collects in the storage section for boiler use.
  • Continuous steam blanket maintains performance under changing loads.
